The announcement of Pochettino's exit reportedly came as a shock to the Chelsea squad, sparking a "meltdown" in the team WhatsApp group. Blues stars Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer both thanked the manager in social media posts in the wake of the news.
Chelsea will start looking for a new manager to improve on their sixth-place finish in the Premier League next season, while the Stamford Bridge team will also compete in Europe after a strong finish to the 2023-24 campaign under Pochettino.
