Owen wrote on "Welcome to adulthood son. I’m incredibly proud of the man you’ve become. #18."
Reguilon commented, "Dad?", implying that he and James almost look similar.
The similarities between James and Reguilon are indeed striking and several football fans were won over the Spaniard's tongue-in-cheek humour.
One fan asked: "Your son is Reguillon?."
Whereas, another posted: "'Nice try, just admit Owen asked you for a photo Sergio."
Owen's son has been suffering from Stargardt disease since the age of eight which has left him clinically blind. Stargardt disease is a rare genetic condition characterized by the accumulation of fatty material on the macula, which is essential for sharp, central vision. Unfortunately, there is no cure for Stargardt disease at present.
